Player for Guitar Pro Tabs and Sheet Music

Welcome to our free online Guitar Pro tab player — the perfect tool for practicing and playing your favorite guitar pieces. It also supports MusicXML files, making it useful for a wide range of instruments and musical tasks.

The player is powered by the AlphaTab library and is not affiliated with Arobas Music, the creators of the original Guitar Pro software. All file processing happens locally on your device — uploaded files are never sent anywhere, so you can safely work with your original content.

How to Use the Tab Player

Getting started is easy:

1. Upload a Guitar Pro file (.gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx, .gp) or a MusicXML file (.xml, .musicxml) using the upload form.
2. The player will display both standard notation and tablature in the window.
3. Press Play to begin playback.

You’ll be able to both read the score and listen to it in real time, adjust the tempo, and highlight specific sections for focused practice.

Playback Controls

The online player includes all the features you need for effective practice:

• Play, pause, stop — basic controls for playing back parts.
• Count-in — a short pause before playback starts, giving you time to get ready.
• Metronome — keeps you in rhythm while playing along.
• Loop section — select a fragment to repeat and practice it in a loop.
• Adjustable playback tempo — slow down or speed up the music to practice tricky parts at your own pace.

Track Controls

Work seamlessly with multitrack and multi-instrument scores:

• Track switching — select the part you want to practice (melody, rhythm, bass, etc.).
• Solo and mute — isolate a specific instrument or mute others.
• Individual track volume control — balance the sound to suit your preferences.

These features are especially helpful when studying or analyzing complex compositions.

Display Settings

Customize how the sheet music looks for a comfortable practice experience:

• Zoom — scale the notation and tablature up or down.
• View mode — choose between horizontal (scrolling) or page-based (sheet) layout.
• Print — save the sheet music on paper for offline practice.

Works Offline — Anytime, Anywhere

You can install the tab player as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and use it even without an internet connection — during rehearsals, on the road, in lessons, or at home. It’s especially convenient on smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.

On Android and tablets:

1. Open the site in the Chrome browser.
2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
3. Select “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
4. Confirm the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

On desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux):

1. Open the site in Chrome or Edge.
2. Click the “Install” icon in the address bar, if available.
3. If the icon doesn’t appear, open the menu (three dots) and choose “Install”.
4. The app will launch in a separate window and be accessible from your Start menu or Applications folder.
